Halmae - Session 11

Notes:

• as i stormed down on the dragon and delivered a final, crushing blow, it awoke my belt -- belt of giant strength! rawr!
• ding! welcome to frenzied beserker!
• we go charging into town, ready to crush a few hundred goblins.
• as we charge in, there's a hooded woman, a few minataurs and a few hundred goblins.
• she says something dumb like "give us the book and we'll let you live."
• krank says something prophetic like "you look like sheath to me! rawr!"
• i jump off the dragon and start running down the hill.
• k hits me with an enlarge and mirror image. i rage. i frenzy. i crit.
• rawr! 67 points of damage.
• she survives the dragon breathing and my crit.
• pulls back her hood -- yeah. she's a medusa.
• famous last words: "dc 17 fortitude save? no problem. i'm +14." followed that up by rolling a 1.
• i'm stone.
• the dragon whacks her the next round.
• the guys just start wading into goblins.
• they crush and breath and destroy them.
• just so i can kill something, ben trips a goblin. the dragon picked me up and dropped my stoned body on it. crush!
• yay! i got a kill!
• in the loot -- there's a ton, ton, ton of magical stuff -- there's a scroll of flesh to stone!
• yay! i'm alive again!
• found the journal of the medusa (level 11 cleric). it says she works for a big red dragon. they are searching for something. good stuff.
• from the dm: "In your section on the Journal you recovered, you should mention that the Medusa was an 11th level Cleric of an up to now unknown 'God of Madness', and that she was searching for the book you guys have had all this time. That book unlocks the secrets of the prison holding the 'God of Madness', and how to free him. Hmm, looks like I didn't lie to Ben about his prestige class after all...=)"
